Fix common issues when creating or opening projects in SoloEnt.

Can’t open folder

Problem: Unable to open a folder as a project. Solutions:
  • Check folder permissions (read/write access required)
  • Ensure folder exists and path is correct
  • Verify folder isn’t being used by another application
  • Try creating a new folder instead
  • Restart SoloEnt and try again

Permission denied

Problem: System denies access to the folder. Solutions:
  • Enter your system password when prompted
  • Check system security settings (System Preferences → Security & Privacy)
  • Try a different folder location (Documents or Desktop)
  • Run SoloEnt with appropriate user permissions
  • On macOS: Grant Full Disk Access to SoloEnt in System Settings

Files not showing

Problem: Folder opens but no files appear in file manager. Solutions:
  • Verify you opened a folder, not a file
  • Check if folder contains compatible files (.md, .docx, .txt)
  • Refresh the file manager (click reload icon)
  • Close and reopen the folder
  • Restart SoloEnt

Agent not responding after opening

Problem: Project opens but Agent doesn’t respond to commands. Solutions:
  • Check API configuration is complete
  • Verify internet connection (for cloud models)
  • Look for error messages in Agent chat
  • Try a different model
  • Restart SoloEnt

Folder structure corrupted

Problem: Project files appear disorganized or missing. Solutions:
  • Check if files were moved or deleted externally
  • Restore from backup if available
  • Close and reopen the project
  • Verify disk space available
